At Last a bit of an update on the 2009 Festival and a quck peek at what might be in store for 2010

The Standard of musicianship in the 2009 Festival was stunning to say the least. I’d just like to say a huge thanks to all the musicians and to everyone who helped run the Festival along with those paying customers who came along and supported the event.

In 2010 we plan to bring back Allan Neave with some of his students from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and drama based in Glasgow. The 2009 performances from Sean Shibe and Sofia Pyrounaki were outstsanding and we hope to continue with this annual showcase as long as the Festival continues to run.

We are stil  in negotiations with a number of excellent musicians but  so far we have Erik Mongrain, John Etheridge, Gordon Giltrap, Ken Nicol, Clive Carroll, John Goldie, Hugh Burns, Allan Neave,Wingin it and Nigel Clark lined up to appear. We are still awaiting confirmations from other artists and the details will be posted here as soon as artists confirm.

Weekend tickets for 2010 are now on sale at a special price of £100, this offer lasts until the 1st of March; after that date the normal price will be £130 each.

Individual concert tickets will not go on sale until much closer to the festival and will sell at £30 each.

When you add in the 3 Festival clubs the weekend ticket offer is a complete bargain and great value for money.
